Photography

Wedding photography is expensive. Understandably so, as the photographers are the only non-family people who make it through the whole day from dressing to dancing. All the same, it's still an expensive must-have and I understand why people will ask friends who dabble in photography to do it.

According to www.costofwedding.com, the average cost of a wedding in Philly is between 20,000 and 35,000. The photographers I looked at ranged from 3,000 to 6,000. i.e. Photography is 10-20% of your wedding cost. And I didn't even factor in videography.

I will add that costofwedding did claim that people only spent between 2,100 to 3,500. I guess it just depends on your taste in photography. Yet, that is still 10 % of your wedding.

It took me four weeks of blog stalking various photogs, 4 in-person meets, and a week of hemming and hawing. But we have finally made our decision: Hon and I will be shot by a delightful lady named Beth.
