Apparently the two month marker is a big turning point; the store is joined daily by a plethora of inquisitive voices. Not a day goes by that another harmless question doesn't call to mind the growing list of things-not-yet-finished. As if my own internal, nagging voice hasn't already instilled a sense of impending doom.
Okay, so doom might be an overstatement. But the last three weeks were so full of other joys that the wedding stuff had been on an indefinite hold. With the move, the mom's visit and the shower, there was a dearth of both time and floor space.
Until last night that is. Man had to study and there was, finally, a box free floor. So, I rifled through the tower of bins and boxes containing all my wedding paraphernalia. Debating as to whether I should work on the fan or the flowers, I ended up carrying an armload of buttons, stems and flowers into the living room...
And promptly got to work.
Okay, okay. The bouquet was completely staged. It has been done for a few months now. I added it to the pile to assure you that I am not, in fact, crazy. That is what a pair of pliers can do with buttons mixed with green stems and floral tape. Given enough time and ipad breaks, that is.
While the flowers and I are no where near the elusive place we call Done, I did attack 3 other items on my To Do list this past week:
- task friend with sign making
- task friend with card-box painting
- task friend with feeding me icecream
