A Trip for Two

Family is a hard thing.  It's always irksome when someone does something deceitful.  This pain and anger intensifies exponentially when it happens among 'family'.  You get to a point where the familial titles evaporate from your vocabulary because you no longer want to be associated to this person by a explicitly intimate relationship.

Between Hon and my extend families, we have plenty of drama.

But here's the thing about drama: You can either focus on it.  Or you can ignore it and focus on the things and people who truly matter.  So, tonight I share one of the most adorable and endearing members of my family.  She is one of many really awesome family folk, I assure, but she's six.  And six year old girls always trump the rest of the family in adorable points by default.

So here's my previously written tidbit from a week or so after my family bridal shower:

My beloved little Megan is going to be our flower girl!  While few of you who read this may know here, this card she drew for my bridal shower shall give you a glimpse of how cute she is:

It's not the best picture, but as soon as I saw it I recognized the Eiffel Tower.  Pretty good drawing of it, if you ask me.

What I didn't quite get was why we were both wearing dresses.  Oh, wait.   That's Megan and I in Paris.

I don't think she's old enough to understand 'honeymoon'.
