Halfway

We have officially reached the halfway point in Baby Otter's prenatal life.  To this day, I still sometimes forget that in pregnant.  Until I look down, or my hand rests on my belly.  Which startles me as I remember that I have a burgeoning belly--and not just because I take too much advantage of Philly's excellent food scene.  (Given my depleted memory these days, I supposed I should not be as surprised how frequently this happens.)

Other days, I am keenly aware of Baby Otter.  Usually when I can't remember a word or when I am ready for bed at 7 pm.  On those days, I can regularly be found saying any of the following:

"Baby Otter has ninja-ed my brain."

"The majority of the Lui family want to [sleep/put up our feet/eat/sit]."  (Usually followed by, "Two to One, Man, we win.")

"Baby Otter wants [ice cream/a nap/juice/pho]."

And, of course, the surprisingly useful: "I am not contagious..."
