So I should be able to blog more. And blog about things other than my baby.
Nope.
And it's been so long that I can't include all the photos taken between then and now.

Yea, I know. But, you can see the rest of them here.
But to be fair, my parents were in town for the week and a half leading up to this date. There were multiple trips to Home Depot, fun new foods for dinner, and plenty of cuddles. There were days spent gardening, working on the kitchen.

Their visit coincided with the Otter's baptism. And one of the first smiles that I caught on camera.

Usually I get street face...

And of course there are chores. Given the 50% increase in our family's population and the Otter's adorable cloth diapers, we now have about 5 or 6 loads of laundry each week.

And let's not even bring up the dishes, especially their current location of the bathroom sink...
Instead, let's talk about the afternoon dedicated to undoing a flat tire. The winter stormed through the East Coast and left nasty potholes like footprints in its wake. This particular gorge attacked when the Otter and I were on our way home from a girls' afternoon at the cousin's house. Now, I am usually capable at changing my tires--as capable as my daughter is at sleeping through them--but this time around, even with the remaining few pounds of baby weight, I could only loosen three fifths of the lug nuts.

Thus I ended up spending an afternoon waiting for Man and a dear, dear friend to borrow a car from another amazing friend. And then felt a little justified when it took the serious muscles and effort of the first friend to finally remove the tire and get the spare on. The Otter seriously slept through the entire ordeal. Thanks for the compassion, darling.
Sorry, no picture of those serious guns--I was a little busy try to shield him from the drizzle with our one umbrella.
And then there was some more work done on the kitchen.

And sometime in between all that, Man got sick.
And then the Otter got sick.
And then mama got sick.
So, of course, there was some much needed rest. Usually in the form of video games (Man) and books (me).
