Anti Super Powers

So I discovered my kryptonite last night.  I have, as one would expect, mixed feelings about this.  On one hand, I accomplished a very big task.  On the other, I find myself somewhat dismayed knowing that there is something that can take me down so efficiently.

It all started when I tweaked my neck this morning.  Oddly, that did not slow me down much.  Except on stairs because it hurt too much to look down.

So after a day of swiveling my torso to look right, I came home with the brilliant plan of taking a hot bath.

Bad Idea.

Well, it seemed brilliant at the time.  A good book, hot apple cider from the Man and greater rotation in my neck.

Except that when I stood to rinse off, I felt a crippling wave of lightheadedness.  Man brought me a glass of water.  (And yes, spilling in the shower would seem innocuous, but it's still startling and frustrating.)  Nausea kicked in and I ended up, wrapped in a towel and sitting on the edge of the tub because I couldn't trust myself to walk and I didn't think walking away from the toilet was a great idea just yet.

And that's when the third symptom kicked in: fiery tingling sensation and pounding head.  I think doctors would technically count those as two separate symptoms, but their simultaneous assault is still indistinguishable in my recovering brain.

Clearly, baths are more vampiric than healthy.

Man looked absolutely perplexed by my state of being, but nodded sagely that perhaps I shouldn't take baths anymore.  And then refilled the mug of water hinting that I was probably dehydrated, as if that explained everything.  Though he did purposefully bang the towel rack with his elbow so he could join me in weaknessland.

All the same, I'm wondering whether he really works for some evil villain association as a researcher.  In which case, he should get paid more because in one night they received a list of three kryptonic devices, because I kind of lied.  The neck part is pretty bad too.
