One Year In

Hello, Anniversary, how are you doing?

Yea, sorry about that.  I really didn't mean to almost forgot you were coming to visit us.  I promise that next year, I'll try to remember that the 28th of a certain month is a special day.

But while Man and I made plans to baby sit for a friend instead of treating each other to dinner out and commemorative gifts, we did celebrate in other ways.

The first is the beginning of the end of Man's MBA.  The final class has started leaving us with two more weeks until freedom!

The second, occurring, Lord willing, some time between 2pm and 4pm this coming Monday, is the exchange of keys and deed of this certain house on Pine St that Man and I have had our eyes on for nearly 3 months now.

The last is a slight deviation in plans, but a joyful one.  May I introduce to you...Baby Otter.

My nephew is under the impression that we should have named this thing Jaguar or Fish.  But Otter is the name for now given that in this initial ultrasound, the silly child looked much like an otter, floating on its back and waving it's short little limbs.  Besides, googling "baby otter" is a nice break from work should you need one.

And to answer all the questions you may think are more important than our future offspring's resemblance to various animals....

Yes, that's a baby.
No, there is only one.
No, we don't know the gender yet.
Yes, we will find out the gender in September.
Maybe we'll let you know.

And, yes, we are delighted (albeit a little overwhelmed) that our first anniversary coincided with two amazing new adventures in married life.
