Spice Marines

I am always the worst at asking people to do things for me.  I figure I should be able to handle my own business.  I hate--no, loathe--burdening people with my problems.  So I keep working on them on my own until I turn into a ball of miserable stress.

This week?  Cue the wedding ball of miserable stress.

Silly me, I forgot that I have bridesmaids for a reason.  The bridal party in general is supposed to be something akin to the Marines of the wedding.  They mobilize in a moments notice to tackle any bumps in the road.  And, just like the Marines, my bridesmaids have a little bit of everything giving them the unique ability to tackle every problem.

We're also a little bit like the Spice Girls.  See, I sent out a crazy emo email along the lines of "I have no idea what I'm doing.  I feel like I'm drowning.  Oh yea, and here is a list of everything that I have yet to get done."  Sadly, I think this means I end up as Baby Spice.

They, on the other hand, are much cooler.  The Organized Planner sent new ideas to replace ones that had fallen through.  The Witty Student offered her apartment for late night study/crafting parties.  The Calm Coffeedate listened, ate a muffin, and offered a fitting psalm.  The Vocally Talented recorded and sent a song to encourage.

There you have it, the amazing Spice Marines.  I can only hope that you will have bridesmaids even half as awesome as mine.
