Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Today was one of those days when I threaten to move to Australia.  Knowing me--and the numerous times I've threatened not to return from our honeymoon--you'd guess Paris, but it's the opposite direction today.  I have been brainwashed from an early age that one moves to Australia on days like these.

See, today was a day where something went wrong every hour.  Consider the credit card that is lost somewhere in my room.  Or the fact that I forgot to put my ring back on after putting on lotion.  On the way to work? An argument with Hon.  And then, at work, I discovered I had forgotten to take the tags off of my pants.  Around 11am, a headache developed.

I'm just waiting to find a stain on my new pants.

Until about 1pm.  When the man strolls in with a bouquet of flowers (which the men and my coworkers are still teasing me about).

The man knows me well.   No rose could hold a candle to such a unique selection.  Between the colors and the needle-like filler, I couldn't help but think of Colorado.  For those who don't know, there is a great truth behind the line "purple mountain majesties."

So instead of spending the afternoon fretting over forgotten and lost things, I did my work comforted by the memory of my old home and the hope of the home I'll build with my future permanent roommate.

One who promises to move to West Philly with me.  It's a lot cheaper than Australia anyway.
