Six and Three

We have officially hit that six month mark.  And as we enter into the third trimester, Man and I have created a new, and oddly fun, game: weekly weigh offs.  See, I've finally gained enough weight that I will eventually surpass Man in mass.  Man, on the other hand, feels like he's losing his upper hand.  To date, we are about a pound away from even-steven.

Give me two weeks and he's toast.

In other six month news...

Man has finally been able to feel his daughter's wrath affection.  While I have been feeling her flips and turns and swipes for weeks now, she had gone consistently silent every time he touched me.  ( "She knows who's boss," he would snicker.)  Man finally felt her move earlier this week...and promptly jerked his hand away in shock.  "She attacked me!  She is so grounded..."

I am learning to keep a better poker face.  Listening to a client's financial struggles with a caring or neutral expression is a little tricky when you're suddenly punched in the kidney.  I have, however, given up on trying not to waddle when I tire out late in the day.

And last, but certainly not least, my in-laws have begun cooking for my postpartum diet.  I'll have to leave it at that for now, since it's a smidge complicated--it is, after all, a three month process.  I promise to tell the story in detail soon.

And so, with that....Happy -3 Month Birthday, baby Otter!
