Reading list

I've finally gotten around to reading that Tiger Mom book.  It's been on my bookshelf for a whole, and I figured: What better timing than now?

Which made me think of the list of books I keep pretending that I'll have time to read once Baby Otter comes:

Ulysses - James Joyce
Coraline - Neil Gaiman
A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius - Dave Eggers
Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy
Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov
Reading Lolita in Tehran - Azar Nafisi
What Alice Forgot - Liane Moriarty
The Joy Luck Club - Amy Tan
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The Martian Chronicles - Ray Bradbury
The Paris Wife - Paula McLain
Suite Française - Irene Nemirovsky
Dune - Herbert Frank
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë
Purgatorio & Paradisio - Dante Allegheri
The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
100 Years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The Island of Dr. Moreau - HG Wells
For Whom the Bell Tolls - Ernest Hemingway
Madame Bovary - Gustave Flaubert

And then I'll re-read or finish reading the following:
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
The Name of the Rose - Umberto Eco

After that, I'll take a break and enjoy some mysteries by Fred Vargas, PD James, Agatha Christi and Alexander McCall Smith.  Or perhaps I'll work through the series on my list: finishing Artemis Fowl, rereading The Dark is Rising, or starting The Game of Thrones series.  You know, just for fun.

....

What?

It's totally doable.

Seriously.

I have, after all, 18 years...

Anyway, I thought I'd provide you all a good amount of laughter on this penultimate day of the workweek.  Unless you work Saturdays like me, in which case: Happy Hump Day!
