Sandwich Day

Hon and I had a rather hilarious conversation last night in which it was clearly revealed to me that he is very much his father's son.
"So we have off on the 20th, right?"
"Yes."
"Cool.  It's sandwich day.  There are two places we could go.  We could go to Sarc--"
I'm really confused at this point, so I interrupted.
"I'm sorry, it's what?"
"Sandwich day.  So there's Sarcon--"
Not really the answer I'm looking for.  The 20th is President's Day, so I can't understand why they would also make it Sandwich Day.  I try again.
"Hon, I still have no idea what you're talking about.  That Monday is Sandwich Day?"
"Yea!  I thought we could eat sandwiches since we have the day off."
"Is it like...National Sandwich Day?"
"Oh, no.  I just thought of two sandwich places where we could eat.  So I started calling it Sandwich Day."

Right.  Why not exercise the prerogative to create and celebrate our own holidays?*

But, in case that's not enough male Lui for you, I leave you with this snippet of wisdom from his dad: Unless you rinse your tea leaves in hot water first before you make the tea, you're doing it wrong. How else are you going to kill all the worms and other bugs that could be hiding amongst the dried foliage?  (All of which, of course, was prefaced by: "May-cans don't know how make tea.  Come here, I show you.")

*The rest of you will have to wait until November 3rd to celebrate National Sandwich Day.
