At first, I started printing these photos and taping them to scrap paper in a binder. I had dividers for different types of thing (paper goods, decorations, dress, etc). And then I got tired of printing and cutting. Yes, I am so lazy that a paper cutter was too much work.
So my next attempt was a folder of pictures on dropbox. Which then became a folder of folders of pictures. And some of those subfolders began having folders. It was frightening.
So I tried Evernote. I loved Evernote. I could sort and label different posts by what type of info and pictures they held. An organizers dream. Until, that is, I realized I couldn't actually access any of my notes and pages on my ipad if I was offline. Useless.
And then I got invited to Pinterest. This invitation (the guilty party shall remain nameless) has a Jekyll and Hyde nature to it. I love that I can tag, upload and save ideas for later dates. It's a great place to find ideas from friends and strangers, for DIY and for wedding. It's a crafter's heaven. Not that I'm a crafter, mind you. Just craft-y.
On the flip-side, I've become somewhat neurotic about pinning. I save blogposts with cool ideas in my RSS feed until I have time to go on a pinning binge. One recent vocabulary frequency study has shown that "pin" has seem a dramatic surge in usage--while "sewing," "fabric," and "bulletin" have not.
I think it's time to admit: I'm addicted to Pinterest.
lol I bought a binder for Cindy's upcoming wedding a while ago and gave up on that.. it makes me feel bad for the paper industry (while hopeful for the green initiative). no wonder the office series was such a success... quirkiness + a dying industry = brilliance
