There are some traditions that I love, love, love. The "Something" tradition definitely tops the charts. This probably comes from my obsessive love of puzzles. The challenge has been laid, and I am on a quest now to find four unique items that will satisfy the different adjectives.
"Something blue" is shoe-in. Thanks to Hon, I have the perfect blue item sitting on my finger as I type. And I love, love, love my sapphire. It's gorgeous and unique--and as Hon loves to point out, it matches my equally gorgeous and unique eyes. (I am so very humble, yes?)
The "new" is easy, too. I will have two dresses (and a possibly third if you ask the two mothers) on top of the typical accessories (veil, shoes, jewelry) to select from. My "new," however, can be nothing other than my white dress. Why? Because my white dress is not only new but custom-made for me by no one else but....my mom! See? Definitely the winner for most amazingest "new" ever. And yes, I know I have the most amazing mom ever.
The "old" and the "borrowed" are quite a bit more difficult. I may be borrowing my red dress, but does it count if you borrow it from a store? Then again there are talks of going up to the New York City Chinatown to buy it.
So the question is: What did you do? What do you plan on doing?
im a dude. i dont get a say :P
ReplyDeleteYou should ask your mom about the something old... and you can borrow something from me! Technicaly won't you be borrowing my make-up? hehe.
ReplyDelete(btw, did you repost this? Why is the date Nov. 23?)
Matt - you're mostly useless..
ReplyDeleteInnae - I have no idea... I started it a while back and just now got around to finishing it and posting it. I'll try to go figure it out.
